Today, in cybersmart we made a copy of our magnet fridge, then we put greetings, put our names on the fridge. after we put our schools name, we made some positive comments then asked a question. My favorite prop was the telephone box where you could time travel.
Yesterday, the class and I went to go find some soil, tree bark, leaves, rocks, sticks, grass, and organic matter. We had to layer it in a small container. Today, Fa’alili got us a bigger container for more space. I learned that Earthworms live in soil and organic matter. we went to Google drawing to draw our Earthworm
Today, in Cybersmart we created a digital tapa cloth. We had to duplicate, rotate, and resize some of the shapes. Creating the black triangles was challenging.

Today, we learnt that Media is made or constructed. The creator can choose what they share. Room 6 are creators of Media, we can choose what we share on our blogs. We learnt how to download our Google draw as a JPG file
Today we learnt about Media. Media is all around us. We use it everyday. Media can entertain, inform and persuade. In room 6 we mainly use media to entertain us. One skill we learnt was to embed a slide onto our blog
Today we were making doodles. we had panthers . my panther was januth we were starting to draw our picture and we pasted our picture to each other and wrote about it. went our picture are done we glue in the picture.
Today, we explored comments.We viewed different ones and looked at them to see if they had a greeting, positive specific reply to the author’s comment. They also had thoughtful and helpful comments too. Having a buddy also helps with what we discuss about what we are learning about. One skill we used was moving the labels and flipping them.
I have been reading and learning about Dinosaurs- that lived in New Zealand 77 million years ago. The sauropods had very long necks and tails. Maybe they could hurt their enemies with their tails. I gave my dinosaur a skin over its skeleton and I used arrow poly lines. Then I even dragged the labels to where they are on the dinosaur’s body.
In this term we have looked at an artist named Reuben Paterson who is a New Zealand artist. He is a hard working man and he paints koru patterns to show his family. One day I want to be like him because I love art.
I took a sheet of paper and drew koru patterns that showed the people in my family. Then I coloured the koru patterns and today I dyed the whole page red. I drew my mum, dad, me and my pet.
